Week 1: Our first meet!

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!

So last Tuesday (13/3/2018) was the first time my group and I meet our little sisters and brothers. Feeling very nervous the night before, luckily everything went well on that day.

We went to CCNA Lab to start our ice breaking session (isolated from other groups so the kids will not be so shy when doing the activities).

 This is when they were asked to introduce themselves in front of their new friends.

 After knowing each other, we proceed to the games! We use the chocolate m&m as our "tools" in this game. Each kids were given one m&m randomly and they must share a story depending on what color of m&m they got. For example,

Yellow -share a story about your friends
Orange -share a story about your family
Green -share a story about your school
Chocolate -share the most funny experiences you've ever had

So the kids take turns in sharing their story while in the same time, we get to know them even better.

Next, we propose to play musical chair (deep inside I was afraid that this game is too lame for them to play, but they enjoyed it!) The winner is Huda, the girl with purple shirt (kudos to the boys because they are being so gentleman letting the girls win hehe)

Okay this girl named Aida Hayani, is my foster sister. She's so shy at the moment, so I can't really get to know her. But it's okay Aida, we've got a long way to go!

At first, Tareq (the boy in blue shirt) was unable to blend in with other boys since he was the only boy from different school. But at the end of the session, he makes some new friends for sure.
